Rams dismantle the competition on day one of NGU Invitational Tournament
TRAVELERS REST, S.C. - CIU women's volleyball had a quick turnaround from their Thursday evening match as they played two matches at the North Greenville Invitational Tournament on Friday. The tournament consists of five NCAA DII teams and the Rams as the only NAIA squad. CIU would make quick work of both their opponents on Friday as they defeated fellow NCCAA member and NCAA DII opponent Southern Wesleyan (S.C.) 3-1 in the first match of the day. The Rams would then assert their dominance over former Appalachian Athletic Conference program UVA-Wise sweeping the Cavs 3-0.
MATCH ONE: CIU 3 SWU 1 (25-11, 25-22, 24-26, 25-11):Â CIU was fairly dominant throughout their first match of the day, taking set one 25-11.
