EASLEY, S.C. - CIU Baseball played their final game of pool play at the NCCAA World Series on Monday as the Rams geared up for the semifinal game at 8 PM on Monday evening. CIU took on Kansas Christian College as the game had no repercussions for either squad. The Rams already held a spot in the semifinal, and the Falcons were already mathematically eliminated.
The Rams would take an earlier 2-0 advantage in the 1st inning as a sacrifice fly from
Robert Bell scored

Corley Cheeks scored off an error on a hard-hit ball from
Buddy Bleasdale. CIU padded their lead with an RBI single from
Rafael Gonzales in the 3rd inning as CIU led 3-0. The Falcons added a run in the bottom of the 3rd inning as CIU would then hold Kansas Christian scoreless until the 6th inning when they would tack on one more, bringing the score to 3-2. The Rams responded in the top of the 7th with a two-RBI single from
Shane Hammonds to push the lead to 5-2. While the Falcons would notch a homer in the bottom of the inning,
Tyler Parker closed out Kansas Christian on the mound as CIU recorded the 5-3 victory.
CIU has yet to lose against an NCCAA opponent this season and will take that spotless record with them into the NCCAA World Series semifinal at 8 PM. The Rams will take on Carolina University who they have already defeated twice this season.
