Central, SC- CIU Softball began the weekend at the Warrior Fast-Pitch Classic Tournament hosted by Southern Wesleyan University. The Rams would go head to head with Talladega College at 1 PM, and Southern Wesleyan at 6 PM. After handling Talladega College, CIU would be challenged by the Warriors later in the day.

How It Happened:Â
- CIU bats started out white-hot in the first inning, Kayla Washington notched an RBI off of a triple to right field.Â
- The Rams would see three more runs scored in the first inning with an RBI single from Kaylyn Devaney. Milena Picciano picked up two RBIs off of a single toward the right-center field, giving CIU a four-run lead.Â
- CIU extended the lead in the 2nd with an RBI single from Shannon Patton.Â
- The Rams offense exploded in the 3rd inning scoring five total runs as Robyn Andrews singled to left scoring Kaylyn Devaney. Tanaya Ellis would pick up an RBI off of a double to left field. Kaitlynn Creel hit a double to center field, scoring both Tanaya Ellis and Madison Janning. Kayla Washington finished things up with an RBI single to center field.Â
- Alicia Wallick picked up her second win of the year as she pitched a complete game, only surrendering three hits on the day.Â

- The Warriors struck first in the first inning, scoring off a double to right field.Â
- Southern Wesleyan extended their lead in the second, batting in two more runs to make it 3-0 Warriors.Â
- Southern Wesleyan ran away in the 3rd inning, scoring three more runs.Â
- The Rams had a late push in the top of the seventh. Tanaya Ellis would be walked in the first at-bat of the side, going on to steal second and third. Kayla Washington reached on an error by the Warrior pitcher, scoring Tanaya Ellis to give the Rams their only run of the game.Â
- While the Rams attempted to rally late, they would fall short to the Warriors.Â
