Milligan College, TN – The CIU women's basketball team went on the road Saturday to try and put an end to the Milligan College Buffaloes three-game winning streak. CIU entered the game coming off almost a week off after a loss to a ranked Bryan College squad last Saturday. The Rams would hang around throughout the afternoon but would be defeated 72-51.
How It Happened:
First Half MC 35 CIU 24: Another slow start would hinder CIU as the Buffs jumped out to an 18-9 advantage in the first 6:00 minutes of the game. Jordan Sprueill and Britney Brown combined for eight in the first 10:00 minutes, but the Rams trailed 23-13 at the end of the first quarter. The Rams would start the second quarter on an 8-0 run to cut the lead to 23-21 on an Alexis Ross layup. However, Milligan would bounce back and take a 35-24 lead into the half.
Second Half MC 72 CIU 51: The Buffs put up 20 third-quarter points to extend their double-digit lead. Jordan Sprueill had six points to lead the Rams in the period, but CIU would slip behind 55-37. The Rams would score more frequently in the fourth as Hannah Trawick scored inside twice for CIU. The scoring came too late, however, as CIU dropped the Appalachian Athletic Conference contest 72-51.

- The Rams were helped on both ends of the floor by Britney Brown, who scored 9-points and had 4 steals.
