Grayson, Ky - CIU Women's Volleyball finished their weekend to road trip to Kentucky Saturday with a tri-match against Piedmont International University and Kentucky Christian University. Both matches were played at KCU, and the match against KCU was a part of Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) play.
Match 1: PIU 3 CIU 1
CIU played their first match of the day against fellow NCCAA member Piedmont International University. The Bruins would win the opening set of the match 25 - 21 despite a strong showing from freshman
Gabriela Vega who played a robust defensive game for the Rams. CIU would drop the second set as well but would bounce back to win the third set 25-20. The third sent would see
Lily Tang lead the rams, filling the stat sheet with a handful of kills and a block.
Megan Lung recorded back to back kills to give the Rams a 24-20 lead, before an error by the Bruins, gave the Rams the set win. The Rams would drop the fourth set handing PIU the match victory.

Match 2: KCU 3 CIU 0
Lily Tang would start the first set with a kill, but the Knights would quickly score 6-points straight and go up 6-2.
Megan Lung and De'Asija would both have multiple kills in the set, but KCU would build on their lead and win the game 25-15. The Rams would only trail 17-15 in the second set but the Knights would pull away and win 25-20. The Rams would have momentum in the third set and led 9-5 after a
Carla Cauchi kill. The Rams would even hold the lead 19-15 down the stretch until the Knights would explode for 10 points and take the set, 25 - 22.
