CIU women's soccer traveled to Grayson Kentucky this Saturday to go toe to toe with the Kentucky Christian University Knights. The Rams would leave Grayson with a convincing win over the Knights.
CIU got off to a quick start dominating time of possession of the ball. The Rams struck first in the 5th minute of the game.
Taylor Kyle crossed a corner kick into the KCU box where Rams forward
Kaylyn Hernandez scored on a well-executed header. Kyle got involved in the scoring yet again in the 28th minute.The CIU forward scored off of a pass from
McKenzie Miller to put the Rams up 2-0 over the Knights heading into the second half.
The Rams would continue to dominate the time of possession in the second half. The Rams would score again in the 70th minute. Forward
McKenzie Miller scored the Rams 3rd goal of the night with an assist from senior Sotiria Tsilinois. CIU ended the game with eighteen total shots to KCU's four. The Rams notched their fourth win of the year with a 3-0 victory over the Knights.
