The Columbia International University Women's Basketball team was back on their home court today as they welcomed rival Columbia College. The Rams struggled from the floor, while the Koalas shot the ball well and beat the Rams 77-51.

1st Quarter Highlights:

• Each team struggled to get going, but the Koalas got on the board first with a three
• The Rams first two points came off free throws by Renee Carter
• Semoine Frasier would tie the game forty-five seconds later on a free throw
• The Koalas would score the next five points before a jumper by Sprueill in the paint
• With 4:18 left in the quarter the Rams pulled within three on a jumper by Frasier
• The Koalas would close out the quarter on a 6-0 run as each team struggled from the floor

2nd Quarter Highlights:

• The two teams started off stronger in the second quarter as they went back and forth with the Rams scoring seven points from Larissa Lee, Britney Brown and Frasier
• With five and a half minutes left in the quarter the Koalas took another double digit lead
• The Rams would get back to back baskets by Keniah Watkins and Queeneka Howard to trim the lead
• Two free throws by Sprueill would be the Rams last points of the quarter as they went into half down 43-24

3rd Quarter Highlights:

• Just like the first two quarters the Koalas would score the first points, but a layup by Sprueill got the Rams on the board
• The two teams would go back and forth in the quarter as Sprueill and Brown led the Rams
• A made free throw with thirteen seconds left in the quarter by Frasier was the Rams last points as they were down 54-33

4th Quarter Highlights:

• The Rams got on the board first in the quarter on a fast break layup by Sprueill
• The Koalas would go on a 9-0 run to push their lead, but Sprueill broke the run with a free throw
• The Rams would get back-to-back baskets by Hannah Trawick and Mary Catherine Outlaw
• Trawick would get the Rams back on the board with another layup and made the and one free throw
• With just over a minute left to go the Britney Brown got going as she scored the Rams final eight points
• At the final whistle the Rams fell 77-51.

Box Score Highlights:

• The Rams struggled from the floor as they shot just 29.7% (19-of-64) and were only 3-of-16 from beyond the arch, while the Koalas shot 49% (24-of-49) and were 23-of-33 from the free throw line...The Koalas led the game with 42 rebounds and the Rams had 36...Each team struggled with turnovers as the Rams had 26 and the Koalas had 25...Britney Brown led the Rams with 16 points...Jordan Sprueill had a double-double with 11 points and 10 rebounds...Semoine Frasier had seven points and four rebounds off the bench...Morgan Varn led the Koalas with 25 points
