CIU women's soccer was back in action Wednesday afternoon as they took on the Knights of Saint Andrews University. The Rams went on to win their 5th conference game of the season against the Knights. 
The Rams started with aggressive attacking play early on in the first half. This aggressive strategy paid off for CIU striking first in the 22nd minute. 
Haley Hernandez scored her sixth goal of the season with an assist from 
Jesse Dukes. The Knights repealed the CIU attackers for the remainder of the second half. The Rams would head to halftime with a 1-0 lead. 
The second half opened up with a CIU score from forward 
Daisy Starling to give the Rams a 2-0 lead. 
McKenzie Miller would get credited with the assist on the scoring play. CIU would continue their onslaught with their 3rd goal of the night from forward 
Jesse Dukes. SAU would not go away quietly however as they scored a goal in the 68th minute from a free-kick from McKenna Evans. CIU would put the game away in the 88th minute thanks to a goal from freshman 
Tara Collins. The Rams would leave Laurinburg with a 4-1 victory over the Knights. 
The Rams look to their next match on Saturday, October 5th against Union College.
