For the first time in 2019 the Columbia International University Women's Basketball team was back on the court. The Rams traveled right down the road to take on rival Columbia College Koalas. The Rams and Koalas were in a battle all game, but small advantages by the Koalas sank the Rams, 72-63.
Game Highlights:
The Rams and Koalas started off strong as both teams showed no lay over from the New Year as the Rams had 16 points, while the Koalas had 22. The second quarter was a little slower as the two teams struggled from the field, but the Rams were only down 35-25 at the half.
The Koalas ran their lead up in the third quarter as they were able to score 21 points compared to the Rams 12. The fourth quarter was all Rams as they tried to mount a comeback. The Rams had one of their best quarters of the year with 26, while the Koalas had 16. At the end of forty minutes the Rams fell 72-63 to the Koalas.
