The Columbia International University Women's Basketball team returned home today to take on cross-town rival Allen University. The Rams and Yellow Jackets battled in the first meeting on Allen's Campus, but today the Rams were unable to get things going on offense. The Yellow Jackets ran away with the game winning 82-41.

1st Quarter Highlights:

• The Yellow Jackets scored the games first three points, but the Rams got on the board with a layup by Lakelyn Malovic off a pass from Jordan Sprueill
• The Yellow Jackets would then go on a 15-0 run and take a 18-4 advantage
• The Rams stopped the run with a layup by Britney Brown
• Sam Wammock would score from the Rams off another pass from Sprueill
• At the end of the 1st Quarter the Rams trailed 21-6

2nd Half Highlights:

• The Yellow Jackets hit back to back threes to start the second quarter and push their lead to 20
• Mary Catherine Outlaw would score the Rams first points of the second quarter
• The Yellow Jackets would close the second half out on a 14-4 run to lead 46-14 at half

3rd Quarter Highlights:

• The Yellow Jackets scored the first points of the quarter, but the Rams got on the board with a free throw by Hannah Trawick
• The Yellow Jackets then went on a 9-0 run, but a layup by Malovic stopped the run
• The teams went back and forth, but the Yellow Jackets scored the last couple points to lead the Rams 65-21

4th Quarter Highlights:

• The Rams opened the fourth quarter strong with baskets from Keniah Watkins and Sprueill
• The Yellow Jackets would go on another run, but another four points by Sprueill stopped the run
• Renee Carter would score four straight points with just under two minutes left in the game
• Brown would score the last points of the game as the Rams fell 82-41

Box Score Highlights:

• The Rams struggled from the floor as they shot 25.4% and were only 1-of-17 from the three point line...The Yellow Jackets shot 48.2% (27-of-56) and were 21-of-26 from the charity stripe...The Yellow Jackets held an advantage off the boards 46-36... Each team struggled in the turnover department, but each team also had 11 assists...Jordan Sprueill led the Rams with 13 points and seven rebounds...Keniah Watkins had six points off the bench...Four different Rams had four points...The Yellow Jackets had four players in double figures with Equayla Smith leading the way with 21 points
