Women's Volleyball Drops First AAC Game

For the first time ever the Columbia International University Women's Volleyball team played in their first ever AAC Conference game. The Rams were given no favors as they were matched up against the regular season champions in Reinhardt University. The Rams would fall to the Eagles 3-0.

1st Set Highlights:
  • The Eagles would score the games first three points, but the Rams would battle back to close the gap 5-3
  • The Rams would keep it close for the next couple points, but the Eagles would go on a run and take a 20-10 lead
  • The Rams would score three points in a row, but a couple more points gave the Eagles the set victory
2nd Set Highlights:
  • The Rams got their first point off a kill from CJ Hinson and would pick up a couple more
  • However, the second set belonged to the Eagles
3rd Set Highlights:
  • The Rams would score the first points of the set with a kill from Maiah Leon
  • The Rams would regain the lead after and Eagles attacking error, 8-7
  • The Eagles would regain the lead and hold it to the end as they won 25-17
Box Score Highlights:
  • The Eagles had 40 kills compared to the Rams 17...The Rams had 13, while the Eagles had 30...Both teams had four blocks...CJ Hinson led the Rams with six goals, while De'Asija Harden had four...Harden and Leon each had two blocks...Leon had six assists with Mackenzie Sanchez also chipping in four...Bruna Barrozo and Andrea Salas each had three digs a piece...Savanna Davis led the Eagles with 10 kills
