The Columbia International University Women's Basketball team had almost two weeks off and were looking to pick up their first win of the season. The Rams traveled to Greenville, SC to take on Bob Jones University. The Rams struggled shooting this afternoon and fell 69-38 to the Bruins.
1st Quarter Highlights:
- Lakelyn Malovic scored the Rams first points off a pass by Larissa Lee
- Over the first four minutes the Rams and Bruins would go back and forth, but the Bruins held a 9-6 lead
- Over the final six minutes the teams would struggle, but the Rams would be down 18-10 at the end of the quarter
2nd Quarter Highlights:
- The Bruins would take a double digit lead to begin the quarter
- The Rams first points game off a jumper by Keniah Watkins
- With just over three minutes left in the quarter the Rams would trim the lead to single digits after a three by Britney Brown
- At the break the Rams trailed 34-21
3rd Quarter Highlights:
- Mary Catherine Outlaw started the third quarter off strong scoring the Rams first five points
- The Bruins would start to push their lead as the Rams shots just wouldn't fall
- At the end of thirty minutes the Bruins led the Rams 52-31
4th Quarter Highlights:
- The Bruins would start the fourth quarter on an 8-0 run
- Amia Stone Johnson would hit a three to stop the Bruins run
- Semoine Frasier and Renee Carter scored the Rams final four points of the night
- The Bruins would win by the final score 69-38
