Rams Drop Exhibition Game Against Charleston Southern
For the fifth year in a row the Columbia International University Men's Basketball team took on NCAA Division I Charleston Southern University. The Rams were coming off a hard double overtime loss against Hiwassee College and the Buccaneers were playing in their first game of the year. The Rams kept it close in the first half, but in the end the Buccaneers won 100-68.
1st Half Highlights:
- The Rams would get on the board first on a jumper by Corey Benton
- The Rams would hold onto the lead with another basket by Elijah Spalding
- The Buccaneers would then regain the lead, but after a couple baskets the Rams pulled within one on layup by Tyrone Dantzler Jr.
- The Buccaneers would push their lead to double digits a couple times, but the Rams would keep it close and only trail 42-29 at the half
2nd Half Highlights:
- The Buccaneers would come out of the break and push their lead a little more
- The Rams tried to keep up with the Buccaneers, but the lead kept growing for the Buccaneers
- The Rams last points of the game came off a three point play by Jacob Cook

- The Rams and Buccaneers were almost even on their shooting percentage as the Rams shot 45.3 percent and the Buccaneers shot 46.3 percent...The Rams held a slight edge over the Buccaneers in rebounds, 44-40...The Rams were hurt by turnovers as they had 30 compared to the Buccaneers 12...Eric Graham led the Rams with 11 points and 10 rebounds...Corey Benton and Brandon Doss each had nine points...Twelve different Rams scored tonight...Travis McConico and Duncan Lexander each had 17 points for the Buccaneers
