The Columbia International University Women's Soccer team got one more chance to step on the field today in Kissimmee, FL. After the off day yesterday, the Rams took on Campbellsville University this afternoon. The Rams got off to a fast start, but two second half goals by the Tigers sunk the Rams in their final game. The Rams close the season with a record of 8-9-6.
1st Half Highlights:
- The Tigers got going quickly as they had five shots in the first twenty-one minutes, but Sam Wammock was their to make three saves
- The Rams would get their first shot at the 23:06 mark off the foot of Rebecca Giancana
- Giancana would be back at it just over two minutes later as she took a pass from Mikki Olson and deposited it in the back of the net to give the Rams the early lead
- The Tigers would go back on attack, but just like before nothing got past Wammock
- At the end of the half the Rams held a small 1-0 lead
2nd Half Highlights:
- The Tigers got off the first two shots saved once again by Wammock, while Taylor Kyle's shot was blocked
- Just ten minutes into the half the Tigers would tie the game at one off a header by Molly Hall
- Just two minutes later the Tigers were back at it as Hall would score her second of the game and give the Tigers the lead
- The Rams would get two more shots off, but they were both saved and after 90 minutes the Rams fell 2-1 to the Tigers

- The Tigers led the game with 28 shots and 15 on goal, while the Rams had eight with six on goal...The Rams did have two corners...Sam Wammock continued to have a big tournament as she had 13 saves today to keep the Rams in the game...Rebecca Giancana had the Rams lone goal with Mikki Olson adding the assist...Taylor Kyle also had two shots on goal...Molly Hall led the Tigers with two goals
The Rams broke many program records this year and had the second best season in program history. This group of seniors go out as the first four year seniors in program history and have made three NCCAA National Championships. The Rams will return a solid core group and will look to make it further next year!
