The Columbia International University Women's Basketball team made the trip to Bluefield, VA. It was a Battle of the Rams as the two teams faced off for the first time as conference members. Two big quarters by Bluefield lifted them to a 70-52 victory.

1st Quarter Highlights:

• Bluefield jumped out to an early 6-0 lead
• Larissa Lee got the Rams on the board with a three to cut the lead in half
• CIU would pull to within one after a two by Jordan Sprueill
• Bluefield would score the next five points and at the end of the quarter, Bluefield led 12-9

2nd Quarter Highlights:

• Bluefield would score the first six points of the second quarter as well
• Britney Brown and Jordan Sprueill would get CIU on the board
• Bluefield would push their lead as high as 18 points, but at the half Bluefield led 31-19

3rd Quarter Highlights:

• CIU trimmed the lead back at single digits after a layup by Sprueill
• Bluefield dominated the third quarter and led 57-28 at the end of the third quarter

4th Quarter Highlights:

• CIU would continue to trim the lead as they got it back under twenty points off a two by Semoine Frasier
• At the end of the game CIU fell 70-52

Box Score Highlights:

• CIU shot 30.2% (19-of-63) from the field and were 13-of-22 from the free throw line, while Bluefield shot 36.6% (26-of-71) for the game and were 11-of-32 from the three point line...Bluefield led in the rebound department with 48, while CIU had 37 rebounds...Jordan Sprueill led the Rams with 29 points and seven rebounds...Kendal Cloninger led Bluefield with 11 points
