Rams and Royals Meet in the Championship
The Columbia International University Women's Soccer team has their sights set on capturing their first ever NCCAA South Region Championship. The Rams started their journey last night as they beat Brewton-Parker 3-2 in penalty kicks. It was a hard fight last night, but the Rams earned a spot in the championship.
The Rams and Royals will battle it out tomorrow at 2 pm for an automatic bid to the NCCAA National Championships. The Rams will have a slight advantage in the game as they host the tournament this year.

Season Review:
Columbia International: The Rams opened the season 4-0 which was tied with the best start in program history. The Rams struggled in the middle portion of their season, but closed the last month of the season on a high note going 4-1-2. In the first round of conference playoffs the Rams were matched up with Truett-McConnell University, but fell 1-0 and were knocked out of the playoffs. Over the final seven games of the season the Rams opponents only scored four goals.
Warner: The Royals opened the season with two straight losses, but picked up their first win at the end of August. After a tie to open September the Royals won nine games in a row. However, the second half of the season was a struggle for the Royals as they went 1-5 in the final six games.

Columbia International:The Rams had 13 different goal scorers this year with eight scoring at least two goals...
Sotiria Tsilionis led the teams with seven goals, while
Kaylyn Hernandez and
Alanna Battermann each had four goals...Tsilionis's 16 points led the teams, while Hernandez, Battermann, and
Rebecca Giancana were right behind her...Giancana led the team with seven assists...
Sam Wammock was the Rams goalie for a majority of their games recording 89 saves.
Warner: The Royals had 11 different goal scorers this year with four scoring at least three goals...Samanntha Warren led the Royals with 10 goals and four assists, while Rachel Dewaeerd, Naisha Alicea, Cristina Clements and Lexi Garcia all had three goals...Warren's 24 points led the tram, while Betina Gerhardt was next with 10 points...Sarah Bergkist was the Royals primary goalie and had 86 saves on the year.
