For the first time ever the Columbia International University Men's Basketball team took to the road for a conference game. The Rams traveled to Cleveland, Georgia to take on the Bears of Truett-McConnell University. The Rams led at halftime, but a strong second half lifted the Bears to victory over the Rams.
1st Half Highlights:
- The Rams got off to a strong start as they scored the games first six points off three pointers by Brandon Doss and Eric Graham
- The Bears would pull within one of the Rams, but after that the Rams would go on an 8-2 run capped off by a jumper from Julius Chamble
- With just over six minutes left in the half the Rams would push their lead to double digits thanks to Jacob Cook and Graham
- The Bears would fight back and pull within one, but the Rams would score the final five points of the half and lead 36-30 at halftime
2nd Half Highlights:
- The Rams would score the first four points of the second half with a two by Raeshawn Sutherland and two free throws by Jeff McIlwain
- With a little over twelve minutes to go in the game the Bears would get their first lead of the game
- The Rams would tie the game at 52 off a three point play by Damian Hurta
- Just after the tie the Bears would push their lead to double figures
- The Rams would pull within five on two occasions, but in the end the Bears won 87-76

- The Rams shots 41.5% for the game and were 13-of-21 from the free throw line, while the Bears shot 48.5% from the field and were 10-of-23 from beyond the arc...The Bears held a small 42-39 rebounding advantage over the Rams...Brandon Doss and Eric Graham led the Rams with 15 points a piece...Julius Chamble chipped in with 12 points off the bench...Myles Monroe led the Bears with 24 points
