Rams Win Streak Falls on the Road to St. Andrews
Laurinburg, N.C.-
Heading on the road with a five game winning streak, CIU traveled to Laurinburg to face St. Andrews, a game rescheduled due to Hurricane Florence.
The Rams saw themselves fall two very close sets (25-23, 25-22) to none heading into the third set. However, CIU fought back and would end up forcing a fourth set. In the fourth set, the Knights held off CIU 25-19 to win three sets to one, ending the winning streak.
Leading the way for CIU was
CJ Hinson who had 18 kills, followed by
De'Asija Harden with 12.
Mackenzie Sanchez led with 19 assists,
Lily Tang followed with 10.
The Rams drop to 10-10 overall, 4-4 in AAC play. For St. Andrews, they move to 4-5 overall, 2-0 in AAC play.
The next game for the Rams will take place on Saturday at Montreat College with an early start time of 11 AM.
