Rams Fall to National Ranked Cavaliers
Rams Fall to National Ranked Cavaliers
The Columbia International University men's basketball team took to the road tonight to take on the Cavaliers of Montreat College. The Cavaliers came into the game ranked 25th in the NAIA national poll. The Cavaliers were just 1-6 over the last seven games so the Rams were looking to pull off an upset. Unfortunately, the Cavaliers proved to be too much for the Rams as the Rams fell 98-67.

The Rams started the game off slow as the Cavaliers raced out to an early 16-2 lead. The Rams would try to get back in the game as they would get points from Jacob Cook, Zachary Baker, and Micah Banks, but the Cavaliers still held a double digit lead. The Rams were unable to keep up with offensive fire power of the Cavaliers as they continued to run up their lead and the Rams went into the half down 46-22.

The Cavaliers once again started the second half by shooting well and this time they opened with a 14-5 run. Cook and Juraj Rovis would score the Rams next eight points. It seemed as though the Cavaliers couldn't miss and they continued to hold a solid lead over the Rams. When the final horn sounded the Rams fell 98-67.
