Rams Drop Final Game of Florida Trip
On a night where the Columbia International University Rams offensive was a constant struggle, junior goalkeeper Sam Wammock came up big on the defensive end, finishing the evening with 16 saves. Wammock was able to hold the NAIA's 20th ranked team, the Southeastern University Fire, scoreless in a 0-0 first half stalemate. However, in the second half the stout Rams defensive would finally give way after a barrage of Fire shots. Southeastern let loose 35 shots on the game and was able to find the back of the net on 3 of them. The Rams struggled offensively and were blanked by the Fire defensive resulting in a 3-0 Southeastern victory.
The loss comes after the Ram's previous game against the Trinity Baptist College Eagles was canceled. Both games were apart of the Southeastern Tournament in Lakeland, Florida. The Rams will be back in action on Saturday, September 9th at 1PM against the University of South Carolina - Beaufort in Bluftton, South Carolina.
