Rams Blanked by Bruins
The Columbia International University men's soccer team snapped their losing streak the last time out and were hoping to pick up a win as they travel to Greenville, SC to take on the Bruins of Bob Jones University. The Rams led the Bruins in a number of categories, but it was the Bruins who would win at home and beat the Rams, 3-0.

The Rams owned the first eighteen minutes of the game tonight as they were able to register six shots and one corner in the first eighteen, but unfortunately only two shots were on goal and neither went in for the Rams. The Bruins would pick up their first goal of the game nineteen minutes into the game. The rest of the first half was all Rams as they registered another ten shots and three corners, but once again no shots found the back of the net and the Rams went into the half down by one.

Columbia International came out of the half looking for the equalizer and they had a golden opportunity just over a minute into the second half as Paul Grandacarpio got off a shot, but it hit the crossbar and bounced out of the box. Just thirteen minutes after that shot the Bruins picked up their second goal of the game. The Rams would continue to push as they had three shots and two corners, but it was if there was a brick wall built in front of the goal and the Rams could not infiltrate it. The Bruins would score their third goal of the game with fourteen minutes remaining. Unfortunately for the Rams they would shutout and fall, 3-0.

Columbia International led the two teams with 23 shots, while Bob Jones had 11...Each team had six shots on goal...The Rams held the advantage in corners as they had nine compared to the Bruins three..Grandacarpio, Jeremiah Ruth, and Ricky Prestridge all had four shots tonight.

The Rams are back in action on Friday as they travel to Charlotte, NC to take on Johnson and Wales - Charlotte at 7 p.m.
