Rams Blanked by Wildcats
For the second time in program history the Columbia International University women's soccer team has the opportunity to play against the best in the NCCAA at the NCCAA Championships in Kissimmee, FL. The Rams opened up the tournament as they went to battle against the Indiana Wesleyan University Wildcats. The Wildcats came in as the #1 seed, while the Rams are the #9 seed. The Wildcats showed why they are ranked number one as they blanked the Rams, 3-0.

The Wildcats went into full attack mood right away against the Rams, but they were ready for it and more importantly Sam Wammock was ready. Over the first twelve minutes Wammock came up with five saves to keep the game scoreless. The Wildcats would score in the sixteenth minute to break the tie. Wammock would continue to come up big for the Rams with save after save. After the first forty-five minutes the Rams went into the half only down 1-0.

The Rams came out firing in the opening nine minutes of the second half. In the first four minutes the Rams would get their first two shots off the feet of Sotiria Tsilionis and Rebecca Giancana. In the fifty-second minute the Rams would be back on the attack as Angel Simpson and Janna Rickenbaker each got a shot on goal, but the Wildcats goalie made the saves. The Wildcats would then get goals in the fifty-eighth minute and in the seventy-third minute. The Rams continued to put some pressure on the Wildcats, but in the end the number one seed got the 3-0 win.
