Rams Close Out the Regular Season with a Win
The Columbia International University men's soccer team took to the road today to close out their regular season. The Rams traveled to Brewton-Parker College to take on the Barons. This game was originally scheduled for September, but due to rain it was played later in the season. After falling behind early the Rams got back on track scoring the next three goal to win 3-1 over the Barons.

First Half

  • The Barons got on the board first as Sebastian Sandoval scored in the eighth minute of the game to give the Barons a lead
  • Ricky Prestridge would tie the game just three minutes later after taking a pass from Victor Maron
  • Later in the half Jeremiah Ruth was able to find the back of the net to give the Rams a 2-1 lead before the half

Second Half

  • Both teams had chances in the second half, but throughout the half neither goalkeeper would crumble
  • Finally, with two minutes left Ricky Prestridge would score his second goal of the match off a pass from Dominik Byars 
  • The Rams would win by the final score of 3-1

Up Next

Columbia International will have over two weeks off before they take part in the NCCAA South Region Tournament. The tournament will take place at Southern Wesleyan University and the Rams will find out who they are playing later in the week.
