Seniors Lead the Rams on Their Special Night
Tonight was a special night as the Rams honored their seniors after the game, but first there was a game to be played and the Rams made sure everyone knew what the outcome would be after the first twenty six minutes. The Rams welcomed the John Wesley University Lions and the Rams would beat the Lions 5-0. With the win the Rams move to 6-4-2 on the season.
The Rams got off to a fast start as
Sotiria Tsilionis got off the games first shot just a minute and ten seconds into the game. The Rams would continue to pepper the Lions goalie and they would get on the board in the eighth minute. Usually a goalie,
Angel Simpson started the game on the field and made the most of it as she scored the games first goal and her first of the season on senior night. The Rams would continue to put pressure on the Lions and keep the ball in the attacking zone. The Rams were rewarded for their efforts in the twenty-sixth minute as
Alanna Battermann took the pass from
Janie Holland and squaked it under the keeper to give the Rams a two goal lead. The Rams would keep that lead at the half.
The second half was much of the same as the Rams got off to a fast start and in the fifty-fifth minute the Rams got another goal from Alanna Battermann to take the three goal lead. The Rams would take shot after shot and continue to pressure the Lions.
Janie Holland would score a goal on senior night as well as she took a pass from
Janai McMaster and gave the Rams a four goal lead. Janai McMaster would then get a goal of her own in the eighty-seventh minute as she took a pass from her sister
Angela McMaster. The Rams would go on to win by the final of 5-0.
Columbia International had a season high 31 shots tonight with 16 on goal and limited John Wesley to two shots...The Rams held a 5-2 advantage on corner kicks...Alanna Battermann had two goals,

"The girls played a great game tonight and really came out ready to play," said Head Coach

The women's soccer seniors were honored after their game for their contribution to the program and all that they bring. Each senior was given a plaque signed by all their teammates. The real fireworks of the night was when
Angela McMaster was proposed to by her boyfriend and fellow men's soccer player Paul Grandacarpio. And of course she said yes!!
