Rams Blanked by Bulldogs
After having this past weekend off for fall break the Columbia International University women's soccer team was back in action tonight as they hosted the Barton College Bulldogs. The Bulldogs made the most of their opportunities as they downed the Rams 3-0. The Rams fall to 5-4-2 on the season, while the Bulldogs move to 6-5-3.
The first thirty minutes of the first half belonged to the Rams as they got off four shots with three being on goal. However, it would be the Bulldogs who would score as they got on the board in the thirty-fourth minute. It wouldn't take the Bulldogs long before they would strike again. In the thirty-fifth minute the Bulldogs would get their second goal. The Rams would get off two more shots in the half as well as take two corners, but they couldn't get on the board and went into the half down 2-0.
The second half was all Bulldogs as they got their third goal of the game in the fifty-second minute. The Rams tried to create pressure, but the stout Bulldogs defense only allowed one shot in the second half and the Rams fell 3-0.
Barton College had 11 shots with seven on goal, while Columbia International had seven shots with five on goal...The Rams had two corners compared to the Bulldogs zero...
