The Columbia International men's soccer team returned home as they tried to snap out of a losing streak. The game was a battle of the Rams as CIU and Bluefield both are the Rams. However, it was Bluefield who would win the battle, 4-0. With the lose CIU drops to 5-9, while Bluefield moves to 7-6-1.

Bluefield would jump out in front of CIU fast as they were able to score just over three minutes into the game. The teams would continue to battle over the next thirty minutes, but once again Bluefield was able to find the back of the net and take a two goal lead. CIU was awarded a corner kick in 39th minute as Paul Grandacarpio get the ball into the box and Agustin Arce-Ruiz was able to head it on goal, but the Bluefield goalie was able to make the save. Bluefield was able to take a 2-0 lead into the half.

CIU would look to even the score in the second half, but they just couldn't solve the back line of Bluefield. Bluefield was able to score two more goals in the second half to give them the 4-0 lead and the game would end with that score.

Luke Brooks was key in goal for CIU today as he had six saves with some being very difficult. The Rams were limited to one shot and one corner kick.

CIU will have some time off before they travel to Greenville, SC on October 22 to take on Bob Jones University for a 7 p.m. game.
