Columbia International University Athletics

Carla Douglas is in her second year as an Assistant Athletic Trainer at Columbia International University, bringing over a decade of experience in athletic training. She began her career as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Georgia College and State University (GCSU), where she worked closely with the women’s basketball team. Carla holds a Master of Education in Human Performance from GCSU and a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Southwest Baptist University. Her previous roles include athletic training positions with Belhaven University and St. Andrews Episcopal School, providing coverage for a wide range of sports including football, basketball, soccer, and softball.

In addition to her athletic training work, Carla has served internationally with the Southern Baptist Convention's International Mission Board (IMB), as a church planter in Iceland and working as a Logistics Services Consultant for IMB in Italy.
