CIU Rams Smash vs. Loyola University New Orleans

CIU Rams Smash won due to a forfeit from LOYNO on last Thursday. In lieu of a formal match, the Rams agreed to have an in-house Squad Strike where each player would select 5 characters, and battle in a 1v1 tournament style showdown. In end, Nick Smith would win defeat all of his peers (and off the record, Coach Chris himself) to round off evening of casual gameplay. CIU Rams Smash competes in NACE Varsity Plus Division and games are streamed every Thursday at 7:00pm on Twitch.

CIU Rocket League Gold vs. University of Mary Washington

CIU Rocket League Gold won their best of 5 match last Monday night 3-1 against UMW. The team has locked in faster than ever and is showcasing near-perfect coms and pass plays which has them performing consistently. Team Captain Carter Willis has set a new personal record by hitting Grand Champ 2 rank this last year, and has rallied his team mates to keep pushing themselves. Both Rocket League teams will be performed at Collision at the Coast 2 in Virginia Beach this weekend where Gold and Blue teams faced off against each other twice during the group stage. In the end, both teams would get knocked out in the elimination bracket on day 2 of the event, where A-Tiered players would go onto claim the prize pool. CIU Rocket League Blue vs. Carolina University

CIU Rocket League Blue fell in game 5 to Carolina University last Monday night. This team puts in the work each week to round off some rough edges and has observably improved every over last semester. In a post-game meeting, the team unanimously agreed that mental fatigue can set it in the late game and they have taken strategic action to address that. Blue Team is excited to face off against their peers at Collision at the Coast 2 this coming weekend on the main stage! CIU Overwatch Gold vs. Marietta College

CIU Overwatch Gold swept Marietta College 3-0 on last Tuesday night's game. In their best of 5 match, the Rams did not leave any space for their opponents to recover. Many fights ended in total party wipes for MC, and similar to last season, no maps were lost. This reality is akin to winning every game without being scored on in traditional athletics, and this is the third regular season in a row where this has been true for Overwatch Gold!
