Overwatch Blue (Week Three)

Overwatch Blue swept Ferris State University on Wednesday's match for their second win of the regular season, bringing their record to 2-1. Hot on the heels of Tuesday's on-campus kickoff event, Overwatch Blue has been taking steps to stay ahead of the competition through scrimmaging, debriefing, and breathing exercises before games. Like last week's match against Iona, Ferris State touted some higher talent in terms of MMR and rank, but Overwatch Blue did not fall prey to intimidation. This particular win was hard-fought, as Ferris State kept the pressure on the Rams in both Push and Flashpoint maps with some notably exciting moments in overtime. Overwatch Blue has another match on Wednesday after Fall Break, and they intend to bring the same heat to secure their third win of their first season as a team. Go, Rams!

Super Smash Bros Ultimate (Week Four) 

The CIU Rams Smash fell to Camden County College (CCC) in game three of last week's best-of-3 series. The first match proved to be the closest, with each team arriving at the last their final of 12 stocks (3 stocks per each of the four players). With one stock remaining on both sides, CIU would ultimately fall after a hard-fought effort. The second game would go to CIU, with the Rams holding strongly to their last four stocks, meaning that their fourth player would never take the hot seat at all in this match set. But in the end, CCC would break the tie with a 12-8 win over the Rams, adding a loss to this season's scoreboard.
