Rams Compete at Gamecock Inaugural
The Columbia International University track and field team was back on the track today for the first time in the new year. The Rams traveled right down the road to USC to take part in the inaugural meet on their new indoor track. The Rams took part in eight events today and will have two more compete tomorrow.

The first event the Rams took part in today was the Women's weight throw. Colleen Colleen was able to really compete in her flight as she able to throw 9.50 meters. Dizayuh Hinton also competed in the weight throw on the men's side as he threw 8.40 meters.

Britney Brown took a little time off from basketball and took part in the shot put today. Brown had a great day as she finished sixth overall with a total distance of 11.70 meters. Brown was able to beat athletes from Wingate, Georgia State, College of Charleston and others.

Brandon Scaffe was the last Rams to take part in a field event as he competed in pole vault. Scaffe had a good day as he got over the bar at a height of 12 feet and 3 and a half inches.

On the track Crystal Jones got the day started in the 60 meter hurdles. Jones won her heat with a time of 10.34 seconds. Jones also qualified for the conference championships in her first meet. Blake Guillozet was on the track for the one mile run. Guillozet ran a similar race to his last couple as he crossed the line with a time of 4:38.

Meghann Miller and Tyler Davis each took part in the 60 meter dash. Miller had a solid race as she finished in the middle of her heat with a time of 8.72 seconds. Davis was next up for the Rams in the 60 meter dash as he crossed the line with a time of 8.05 seconds.

The Rams will be back at the track tomorrow as Crystal Jones and Caleb Sellu will take part in the 200 meter dash.
