Rams Season Comes to a Close in the South Region Semi-Final
Franklin Springs, GA -- The Columbia International University women's basketball team took to the road to take on Carver College in the semi-final round of the NCCAA South Region Tournament. The Rams and Bruins went back and forth throughout a majority of the game. However, two big quarters by the Cougars lifted them to victory, 58-47.

How it Happened:
- The Rams would score the first points of the game, but the Cougars would then take a 6-5 lead with just about five minutes left in the quarter. The Rams would regain the lead after a jumper from Semoine Frasier, but over the final minutes the Cougars would take a 12-9 lead after the first quarter.
- The Rams would battle back at the start of the second quarter as they tied the game at 15 with a jumper from Victoria Dickerson. However, the Cougars would push their lead to double digits as they took a 32-21 lead at the half.
- The Cougars would score the first points of the quarter, but the Rams would start to take over and go on a 9-0 run to trail by only four, 36-32. The Rams got points from Sam Wammock, Jordan Spruell, Frasier, and Dickerson during the run. At the end of the third quarter the Rams trailed 38-34.
- Unfortunately for the Rams the Cougars opened the fourth quarter on a 14-0 run to take a commanding 52-34 lead. The Rams would fight back as they cut the lead to nine after two free throws from Zeleria Simpson. As the final horn sounded the Cougars moved on with a 58-47 victory.

- The Rams held a 42-35 rebounding edge over the Cougars
- Victoria Dickerson led the Rams with 18 points and three assists
- Jordan Spruell had another double-double with 11 points and 12 rebounds
- Zeleria Simpson chipped in with eight points, nine rebounds, and two assists

- The Cougars shot 35.2% (25-of-71) from the field and were 2-of-16 from beyond the arch
- Antwannet Thomas led the Cougars with 23 points and had nine rebounds
- Celia Niambekoudougo had a double-double with 19 points and 12 rebounds
The Rams season comes to a close as they end the season with a record of 7-22.
