How it Happened
  • The Tigers jumped out to an early 6-2 lead just a minute and forty second into the game. However, the Rams would go on an 8-0 run to take the lead. Throughout the run the Rams got points from Jordan Spruell, Zeleria Simpson, and Victoria Dickerson. The Tigers would then tie the game at 14, but at the end of the quarter the Rams would lead 17-14.
  • The Tigers would take the lead coming into the second quarter, but the Rams would regain the lead. A three pointer by the Tigers would tie the game at 24. The Rams would take the lead again and hold onto the lead for the remainder of the quarter. At the half the Rams led 30-29.
  • Raven Fleming would get the Rams on the board first as she converted a layup at the 8:16 mark. The Tigers would hit a three to tie the game at 32. The teams would go back and forth as there were numerous lead changes. At the end of the quarter the Rams had a slim 45-43 lead.
  • Just like most of the game the Tigers were able to tie the game. Just like a lot of the game the teams went back and forth. It seemed like a game of hot potato as each team had the lead, but then gave it back. The Tigers would take a slim 56-53 lead with just about three minutes remaining in the game. A three from Victoria Dickerson gave the Rams the lead once again, 58-57. Stout defense and clutch free throws from Spruell and Dickerson gave the Rams the victory.
