Rams Compete at JDL College Kick-off
For the first time ever the Columbia International University Track and Field Team competed in an Indoor Meet. The Rams traveled to Winston-Salem, NC to take part in the JDL College Kick-Off event.
The Rams competed in numerous events and posted some good results for their first ever indoor meet.
Dizayuh Hinton competed in the shot put for the Rams and threw a shot 37 feet and six inches which was fourth best in his flight.
Brandon Scaffe competed in pole vault as he vaulted a high of 11 feet and 11.75 inches which put him in tenth place.
Three women competed today as
Meghann Miller and Crystal Jones competed in the 200 meter dash and Heather Blackburn competed in the 400 meter dash.
Miller and Jones were competitive as they both finished in the top three in their flight. Miller crossed the line with a time of 28.40 seconds, while Jones finished with a time of 28.42 seconds. Blackburn ran hard in the 400 as she finished with a time of 1:13.
The Rams will now have off until the new year when they travel down to the University of South Carolina on January 18.
