The Columbia International University Women's Basketball team took to the road for their first away conference game. The Rams went to Cleveland, Georgia to take on the Bears of Truett-McConnell University. The Rams had their chances, but struggled shooting today and fell 66-50.

1st Quarter Highlights:

• The Rams and Bears struggled shooting the ball from the start, but Jordan Sprueill would get the Rams on the board first with a free throw
• The Bears would come back and tie the game at seven
• The Rams would take an 8-7 lead into the second quarter after a free throw by Britney Brown

2nd Quarter Highlights:

• The Bears would get on the board first in the second quarter and take the lead, however, the Rams would tie it at ten right after
• The Rams and Bears would go back and forth for a little, but the Bears would take the lead back after the four minute mark
• At the half the Rams trailed 29-25

3rd Quarter Highlights:

• Just under three minutes into the quarter the Rams would trim the lead to two after a Sprueill layup
• The Rams would try to fight their way back in and pull it within four on multiple occassions
• The Bears led 43-37 at the end of the third quarter

4th Quarter Highlights:

• The Bears would start the fourth quarter on a heavy run and push their lead to more than twenty
• The Rams tried to fight back, but were just out of time
• The Bears won by the final score of 66-50

Box Score Highlights:

• The Rams struggled from the floor as they shot 28.4% and were 4-of-22 from beyond the arc, while the Bears shot 40.4% and were 7-of-20 from three point range...The Rams led in rebounds with 46 compared to the Bears 40...The Rams defense also forced the Bears into 24 turnovers...Amia Stone Johnson led the Rams with 11 points...Britney Brown had 9 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists off the bench...Re'tavia Floyd led the Bears with 18 points
